THE VENUE
Swancar Farm Country House is a beautiful wedding venue at the end of a long track though a beautiful sanctuary of fields, one of the most sought after locally. I wanted to work with the Glass House, triangular in shape, lots of glass, light and almost feels outdoors with wonderful craftsmanship in the formation of the timber beams and columns with heart details.
THE DETAILS
A dark oak detailed backdrop to match the venue’s chairs and lots of different soft materials with a white/ grey palette against the warmth of the venue’s wooden beams with a mix of textures, bamboo armchairs with soft grey fur and a top table that mirrored the backdrop style with a new style wooden triangle backdrop to mirror the shape of the glass house itself.
BRYONY SAYS
To resemble the antlers throughout the venue, we had a delicate twig floral crown, the most stunning tall floral arrangement for the archway and the wonderful displays in triangular shape again to reflect the glass house ceiling and a bouquet which formed the same square angles of the cake with a square nest made again from twigs, for that harsher contrast in a dreamier setting.
Simple textured stationery with ripped edges, real flowers and a clear wax seal, a sequined dress to add some glam and hair with effortless long curls and a twist detail to the back, a natural makeup look with a dewy glow to compliment her already pretty face and a photographer who is amazing at capturing all the little details as well as the whole scene

There are pearls, cork poppings and all kinds of prettiness so where do we start? The venue, of course; Hodsock Priory is a historic country house wedding venue set in 800 acres of countryside on the border of Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire. This carefully restored family home is an award-winning luxury wedding and event venue, surrounded by breath taking views and presented within luxurious gardens and rolling fields and offers the most spectacular backdrop for the shoot. Hodsock Priory’s epic proportions require some equally epic styling to hold its own and Samantha at Willow and Rust did not disappoint.
