Secret Garden Vibes at Beaumanor
If you’re a lover of all things wild and whimsical then you’re going to fall head over heels for this beautiful woodland shoot. With a dream team of wedding suppliers who all worked together to create a dreamy scene, we spoke with wedding planner and stylist Samantha from Willow & Rust Weddings to discuss the concept and how they created such a stunning result;
“Helen from the Venue Experts originally approached me as they manage Beaumanor and asked if I would put together a shoot for them, I’d had something like this in my head for a while so I said yes! The shoot was definitely 'Secret Garden Vibes' as the ceremony was hidden in the woods under a beautiful old oak tree and the dining set-up was hidden in a gorgeous little spot in the grounds that was surrounded by shoulder height bushes and lilac Rhododendrons, perfect for the colour theme!
The flowers were all locally grown and ethically sourced and we reused elements throughout the shoot as always trying to reduce waste and be sustainably minded. We had a very talented mix of suppliers involved and I think you’ll agree the outcome was just beautiful.”

Where do I begin looking for our perfect photographer, we hear you ask!
Here’s some top tips and trustworthy advice from the experts…
The variations of deep purple give real depth of colour and are a welcome change from the usual burnt orange and brown we see this time of year. Teamed with the hunter green, these colours are perfect for both indoor and outdoor as highlighted in the final images.

There are pearls, cork poppings and all kinds of prettiness so where do we start? The venue, of course; Hodsock Priory is a historic country house wedding venue set in 800 acres of countryside on the border of Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire. This carefully restored family home is an award-winning luxury wedding and event venue, surrounded by breath taking views and presented within luxurious gardens and rolling fields and offers the most spectacular backdrop for the shoot. Hodsock Priory’s epic proportions require some equally epic styling to hold its own and Samantha at Willow and Rust did not disappoint.
