Sparkles, metallics and candlelight getting us into the Christmas Spirit.

Introduction

Festive Glamour Styled Shoot at The Bottle and Glass Pub

We don’t know about you but here at Save the Date HQ we are super excited for Christmas. The family time, all the food and drinks and being wrapped up warm watching endless of Christmas movies. We can’t wait! So when Ruby from Ruby and Co events popped this style shoot into our inbox. We just had to share . Full of sparkles, metallics and candlelight, with an abundance of fresh seasonal foliage. It’s giving us all the Xmas feels.

A real Christmas tree adorned with gold and copper baubles was an must! and what festive shoot would be complete without some delicious cocktails and a glass of whisky! Hear more from Ruby below…

TELL US ABOUT THE VENUE…

I choose to hold the shoot at a gorgeous country pub, The Bottle & Glass, situated in the lovely Lincolnshire village of Harby. It has recently had a complete refurb to a really high standard and also won Dinning Pub of the Year in The Taste of Excellence Awards ceremony.
I am working with them to design and create a beautiful outdoor wedding venue in their garden space, so it seemed like to perfect place for a gorgeous festive shoot!

WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE SHOOT?

I wanted to create an elegant and glamourous shoot, full of festive inspiration for Brides looking for winter wedding styling ideas. I choose to use stone coloured table linen, overlaid with a mix of velvet runners in teal, olive green and navy.

THE DEETS

Using a large foliage garland adds not only seasonal foliage to the table but a beautiful scent to the room. The opulent champagne saucers, gold charger plates, cutlery and candlesticks worked beautifully to add a touch of glamour and reflect the candlelight down the table.

For the Bride, I knew it just had to be sequins, glamour and red lipstick! Caroline, Rebecca and Jessica created the exact look I had envisioned perfectly.

I created an asymmetric bouquet filled with a variety of white roses, Toffee roses, astilbe, scabiosa, veronica and of course some festive white berries.
