Jenn & Nik

Welcome to the wedding of Jenn & Nik

Summer Wedding at The West Mill

A fun, relaxed wedding day spent with family and friends who were all up for a huge party!
To keep the day feeling chilled and untraditional, Jenn & Nic chose to marry a few weeks prior to their wedding, and had a close friend lead a much more personal ceremony in front of their family & friends. This was complete with personalised vows and a good ol' sing a long! Photographer from the day, EKR Pictures, tells us more about this joyful day (look out for Jenn having the best time ever throughout the day and night!)

Ellie SAYS

“Jenn's vision for their wedding was more about making sure everyone had a bloody lovely day.
Her flowers were all dried and she had a huge pampas installation. The bridesmaid's bouquets beautifully complimented their teal coloured dresses, which all tied in with the groomsmen's pale suits and funky ties.
The pale blue coloured theme ran through everything else, with handmade signage and an incredible cake made by Nic's mum.
You just have to spend 10 minutes with their friends and family to know that they're all party animals. So when Nic's mum surprised everyone with singing waiters, it went down incredibly well! I've never seen a party like it at 4pm on a Thursday!!

Jenn wanted the "insta" shots with their smoke bombs. We shot this at sunset and it made for a STUNNING bridal party shot. Doing the bridal party group photos later on meant that everyone was a bit tipsy so we had lots of fun with it - I'm sure you'll see in the gallery!
Then the dance floor opened up and Jenn and her dad surprised everyone with a very well choreographed Dad & Daughter dance! Everyone the partied the evening a way and as I'm sure you can imagine, I joined in!!”

About The Venue

“All photos of The West Mill speaks for themselves. Photographers dream of being able to photograph there and I can totally see why! It really is beautiful. My photography journey started years ago photographing abandoned & industrial sites, so I felt right at home at The West Mill. Whether it's a scorching hot day or miserable UK weather, the Mill suits it all, with the different levels there's endless photography opportunities. It also means that no one wonders off to their room and never comes back, or people get split up into different rooms, everyone is all together and it's so lovely!”
