Where to be this weekend ….

Posted by on in News, Wedding Fayres.

So, I know it's only Tuesday but I need to get your diaries booked up for this weekend as we have some fabulous fayres to tell you about:

Firstly, it's the beautiful Osmaston Parknear Ashbourne. Simply gorgeous. This Sunday, 30th October. Here is more information from the organisers:

It cannot be denied that Osmaston Park in Ashbourne is one of the most beautiful wedding venues that Derbyshire has to offer. The generous marquee is situated on the site of the former mansion house that most unfortunately had to be demolished in 1965. Nevertheless the marquee still over looks the 300 acre Okeover estate which is just perfect for wedding photos!

With that in mind, Derbyshire Wedding Fayres is now very proud to be able to organise a Wedding Fayre at this venue on 30th October 2011.  Unlike most of these events, Derbyshire Wedding Fayres works very hard to find a wide range of suppliers and limits each category to no more than 3 of each. “When we were researching wedding fayres, we found that there are often only 15 suppliers and at least 5 of those are photographers, there are often no cake makers or florists, never mind bridal shops or menswear! We wanted to make sure our fayre was worthwhile attending so we now have roughly 40 suppliers attending including Debenhams, Virgin Holidays, jewelers, wedding planners, room dressers, DJs, musicians, photographers, a magician, vintage china hire, bunting and crafts, cake makers, choclatiers, hair accessories, bridal shops, dress makers, menswear, wedding cars, beauty, hairdressers and florists.

They also have the support of I Do Magazine and Save the Date magazine, both of which will be supplying a copy of their publication to each couple that attends.

HBA Photography are also offering a FREE photoshoot to one lucky couple from the day!

The fayre will run from 11am until 4pm, entry is free, there is plenty of parking and there will be a glass of bubbly for each couple. So whether you have your wedding date booked or you've just got engaged, put this event in your diary!!

But don’t forget that the clocks go back at 1am on 30th October, so don’t be caught out!!

And the next one to tell you about is the incredible Doddington Hall - quite honestly one of THE most perfect wedding venues we've had the pleasure of visiting.

This Sunday 30th October is their first ever wedding fayre within the brand new wedding venue, The Coach House. This converted dynamic and unique space will host an array of handpicked wedding suppliers along with the team being on hand to answer any questions.

Date - 30th October

Time - 11am - 4pm

Address:

Doddington Hall & Gardens

Doddington,

Lincoln

LN6 4RU

We'll be there at Doddington on Sunday and can't wait to see you there!

When simplicity is everything ….

Posted by on in News.
When I was sent these beautiful images the other day, I just could not wait to get them published on our lovely little blog. Cat and Adrian of Billingham Photography are the talented duo behind this gorgeous shoot and, along with their dream team of suppliers, have managed to create a stunning selection of swoon worthy shots. And it just goes to show, less is most definitely more. Over to the talented Cat:
"The shoot took place in a beautiful field near Kidderminister, the styling was minimal for the shoot as the  freshly cut fields, hay bales, dress and headwear were the key features, we used a beautiful white rustic table and a single chair provided by the lovely Annie 'Tallulahs Trinkets' for displaying cut sweet-peas in beautiful vintage bottles and glass jars provided by 'Passion for Flowers' and 'The Wedding of my Dreams'.
The cakes were provided by Alison of 'Daisy Cupcakes' and were a beautiful delicate compliment to the pastel colours of the sweet-peas, we had these beautiful cakes and flowers left from a previous shoot the day before where they provided a key feature and we loved them so much and knowing how versatile that they are we chose to add them for a splash of subtle colour to add to the golden tones of the fields, a last reminder of 'summer days' now we are entering a beautiful golden Autumn.
We wanted to create a relaxed natural 'whimsical' feel to the shoot, there is something beautiful about autumn evenings, and as the sun was setting it created a beautiful light.

We chose a very simple fitted dress provided by 'The Wedding Club' and a beautifully designed headpieces from Tallulahs Trinkets' I just love to see a simple dress and ornate headpiece and splashes of colour.

During the shoot you got a feel of what a simple 'farm' wedding would feel like and just how beautiful a bride can look with such a natural look,  I really do heart sleeves on a wedding dress."

The Roundhouse – the place to be

Posted by on in News, Wedding Event with a Difference.

So, we are quite conscious of the fact that we keep barking on about the Roundhouse this and the Roundhouse that but let's face it, not all of you know quite how fabulous the Roundhouse actually is.

So, a couple of weeks ago, myself and Abbi met with a handful of exhibitors who will be at the event (THIS SUNDAY!!) to show them the amazing venue and talk them through the event itself. Whilst doing this, we thought it would be a good idea to get some pictures of the place and pop them onto our blog for all to see. So, the lovely Rachael Connerton came along with her camera and captured some fabulous photographs for you to enjoy.

Whether you know the Roundhouse or not, take a look at these. You can feel the originality of this very special venue literally leaping from the page.

See you Sunday ..... at the iconic Roundhouse :-)
